Frequently
Asked Questions

Window Force manufactures custom vinyl windows for the residential construction and renovation trade — builders, window dealers, contractors, and multi-unit developers. The questions below cover what trade partners typically ask before opening an account or placing their first order. Regional contacts by province are listed in the final section.

Partnership & Trade Accounts

How do I become an authorized Window Force dealer or trade partner?

Start by submitting a dealer inquiry through our Become a Dealer page, or call your regional Window Force contact directly. A representative will follow up to discuss your business type, typical project volume, and service area, then walk you through product options, pricing structure, and next steps. There is no franchise fee to get started, and account setup is straightforward.

What types of businesses qualify for a trade account?

Our trade network includes window and door dealers, general contractors, renovation companies, new home builders, multi-unit residential developers, and specialty retailers. If you purchase windows on a recurring basis for residential or light commercial projects, a trade account gives you access to volume pricing, dedicated support, and direct manufacturer communication.

Does Window Force sell direct to homeowners, and does that affect my business?

We do accept direct homeowner orders, primarily through our website. When a homeowner contacts us, we connect them with local installation partners rather than handling installation ourselves - so we are not competing with your crews for installation work. Our core volume comes through the trade channel. If questions about how direct sales interact with your territory come up during account setup, we are happy to talk it through.

Is there a minimum order quantity to open a trade account?

There is no set minimum. Contact our team to discuss the order structure and pricing that fits your typical project volume.

Do you offer exclusive territories or protected dealer areas?

Territory arrangements are discussed on a case-by-case basis during account setup. If exclusivity in your area is important to your business model, raise it during your dealer application and we will work through what is possible.

How does volume pricing work for trade partners?

Trade partners receive pricing that reflects their order volume and account relationship. Volume discounts apply as orders scale, and pricing is confirmed directly with your account representative. Contact our team to understand how pricing works for your typical order profile.

Orders & Production

What are typical lead times for trade orders?

Production timelines depend on order volume, configuration complexity, and current manufacturing schedules. Every order is confirmed at placement with a timeline specific to your job. For new construction projects where sequencing matters, share your rough-in date when you request pricing and we will work backward from there.

Can orders be fulfilled urgently — within a day or two?

In some cases, yes — including within a single business day. This depends on the window types, sizes, and configurations needed, as well as current production scheduling. It is not a blanket commitment across all orders, but it is something the factory can deliver when a project genuinely demands it. If you have a time-critical situation, call your regional contact directly, describe what you need, and we will tell you immediately what is achievable.

How do I place a trade order or request a quote?

Contact your regional account representative by phone or email. Trade orders are placed through our sales team, who confirm measurements, window types, options, and pricing before releasing to production.

Can you accommodate oversized, custom-profile, or architecturally complex windows?

Yes. Every window we produce is custom-manufactured to order at our Concord, Ontario facility, so non-standard sizing is routine. For oversized units, unusual proportions, or architectural shapes such as trapezoids, octagons, circles, or angled tops, submit specifications with a quote request and we will confirm feasibility and pricing.

Do you carry any stock units for faster turnaround?

We operate on a made-to-order model, but there are typically units available from recent production runs that can be released faster than a fresh order. Contact your account representative if turnaround is time-sensitive and we will check what is on hand for your sizes and profiles.

What is the process if I receive a damaged or incorrect unit?

Document the issue photographically on delivery before moving or accepting the unit, then contact our team immediately. Submit a warranty claim form and the claim will be reviewed and addressed within two business days. Manufacturing defects are covered under the product warranty.

Shipping & Geographic Coverage

Which provinces and territories does Window Force ship to?

We ship across Canada, with active trade accounts in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia. We can ship to destinations beyond our standard service footprint, including remote and northern regions, when the order warrants it.

Can you ship to remote or northern locations?

Yes. We have shipped to remote destinations in northern Ontario and can arrange freight to northern and remote territories, including locations well outside the major urban centres. Freight costs and lead times vary by delivery location and carrier routing. Contact us with your destination for a freight estimate.

Do you ship directly to job sites?

Delivery logistics are worked out at the time of order. Whether you need product delivered to a yard, a staging location, or directly to a job site, we will find the arrangement that fits the order size and your location.

Products & Specifications

What certifications do your products carry for permitting and specification purposes?

Window Force windows are CSA certified and manufactured to meet or exceed ENERGY STAR requirements across Canadian climate zones. The Ultraslim Series carries NAFS-11 ratings, the North American Fenestration Standard used for structural and performance specification on building permit applications. ENERGY STAR compliance documentation is available on request.

Which product line is right for new construction versus retrofit work?

The Ultraslim Series is designed for new construction and additions where wall framing is exposed. Its 4-9/16 inch frame depth and optional nailing fin allow direct attachment to studs before exterior cladding is applied. The Classic Series handles retrofit and replacement work - its 3-1/4 inch frame depth fits existing rough openings without touching interior or exterior trim. Both series support the full window type lineup.

What customization options can I specify for my customers?

Both product lines support an extensive range of options including colour finishes in standard and extended palettes, grille profiles, exterior casings, brickmoulds, jamb sizes, hardware finishes, and more than 15 glass configurations spanning energy performance, safety, security, and privacy.

Do you provide technical documentation, shop drawings, or installation guides?

A full product brochure covering both the Ultraslim and Classic Series is available for download - contact our team to receive it. Printed technical documentation and installation guidance are also available at our Concord facility showroom.

What glazing configurations are available, and can I specify different glass per unit on a single order?

We offer more than 15 glass configurations including double-pane and triple-pane IGUs, multiple Low-E coating types, argon gas fill, laminated security glass, tempered safety glass, and decorative privacy glass. Glazing is specified per individual unit, so different openings on the same project can have different configurations.

Do you work with architects or building specifiers?

Yes. Architects and specifiers can request product data, performance ratings, and specification-ready documentation from our technical team. For projects requiring specific NAFS-11 performance classes or custom configurations, contact us early in the design phase so we can confirm what is achievable.

Do you handle multi-unit residential or light commercial projects?

Yes. Window Force supplies multi-unit residential developers and light commercial projects in addition to single-family residential. Volume pricing applies at scale, and our production capacity at the Concord facility of over 50,000 windows annually supports large project runs alongside standard dealer orders.

Warranty & After-Sale Support

How does the Window Force warranty work for my end customers?

Every Window Force window carries a tiered transferable warranty: 100% manufacturer coverage for the first 25 years, an 80/20 manufacturer-to-customer split from years 25 to 30, and a 25/75 split beyond 30 years. The warranty transfers to subsequent homeowners when a property is sold. Insulated glass units carry a separate 10-year non-prorated sub-warranty covering seal failure.

How are warranty claims handled through the dealer channel?

Claims are initiated by submitting a warranty claim form - contact our team to receive it. Include your original order reference and a description of the issue. Claims are reviewed and addressed within two business days. We work directly with trade partners to arrange the appropriate resolution, whether that is a replacement unit, component shipment, or another remedy.

Do you offer technical support for installation questions?

Yes, technical support is available through your account representative. For application-specific questions about anchoring, flashing, or particular window types, contact our team with the project conditions and we will work through it with you.
