Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the product and billing.

Do you offer both double-pane and triple-pane windows?

Yes. Window Force manufactures both double-pane and triple-pane insulated glass units. Double-pane windows provide excellent energy efficiency for most applications, while triple-pane windows offer superior thermal performance and noise reduction, which is ideal for Toronto homeowners seeking maximum insulation in Ontario's climate. Our team can help you determine which option best suits your project requirements and budget.

What glazing and glass options are available?

We offer a comprehensive (more than 15!) range of privacy glass options including Low-E coatings for improved energy efficiency, argon gas fill between panes, tempered glass for safety applications, laminated glass for enhanced security and noise reduction, and decorative privacy glass with artistic textures. All glass configurations can be customized based on your specific performance requirements and the orientation of your windows.

Are your windows custom-made to fit any opening?

Yes. All Window Force windows are custom-manufactured to the exact dimensions of your openings. Whether you need standard sizes or unique architectural shapes, our 80,000 sq ft Toronto facility produces each window to precise specifications. This ensures a perfect fit, optimal performance, and seamless integration with your home's design.

What is the difference between the Ultraslim Series and Classic Series?

The Ultraslim Series features a deeper 4-9/16" frame with a slimmer 2-7/8" visible profile and hidden gasket, delivering a modern aesthetic while maximizing glass area — ideal for new construction and larger openings. The Classic Series offers a proven 3-1/4" frame depth with a standard profile, making it perfect for retrofit and replacement projects where compatibility with existing conditions is important. Both series deliver excellent thermal performance and are fully customizable.

Can I purchase windows directly from Window Force as a homeowner?

Yes. While Window Force primarily serves builders, dealers, and contractors as a B2B manufacturer, we welcome direct orders from homeowners in Toronto. Contact our team for a consultation, and we'll guide you through product selection, provide a quote, and arrange professional window installation if needed.

Do you offer financing options for window purchases?

Yes, we offer financing options to help make your window investment more manageable. Contact our sales team to discuss available financing programs, terms, and eligibility requirements for your specific project.

What type of spacer system do your windows use?

Window Force windows feature a dual-seal spacer system specifically designed to reduce heat transfer at the glass edges and minimize condensation. This warm-edge technology improves overall thermal performance and helps prevent seal failure over time, contributing to the longevity and efficiency of your windows.

Is your warranty transferable if I sell my home?

Yes, our warranty is transferable to subsequent homeowners. This adds value to your property and provides peace of mind for future owners. The warranty coverage structure is: 100% coverage for the first 25 years, 80% manufacturer / 20% customer from years 25-30, and 25% manufacturer / 75% customer after 30 years.

More

Do you install windows year-round, including winter?

Yes, we install windows throughout the year, including during winter months. Our experienced installation teams in Toronto are equipped to handle installations in all weather conditions while ensuring proper sealing and performance. We take precautions to minimize heat loss in your home during the installation process.

What causes condensation on windows, and do your windows reduce it?

Condensation occurs when warm, humid indoor air contacts a cooler surface, like window glass, and releases moisture. Windows don't cause condensation; they simply reveal excess humidity in your home. However, high-quality vinyl windows with warm-edge spacer technology and proper Low-E glazing keep the interior glass surface warmer, significantly reducing the likelihood of condensation forming. Maintaining indoor humidity between 30-50% also helps prevent this issue. Rule of thumb: to prevent window condensation during the heating season, the recommended indoor RH is 30 per cent to 50 per cent. When it is below - 10°C (14°F) outdoors, the recommended indoor RH is 30 per cent..

How do I clean and maintain my vinyl windows?

Vinyl windows require minimal maintenance. Clean the glass and frames periodically with mild soap and water. Make sure to avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage surfaces. Wipe down sliding tracks to ensure smooth operation, and lubricate hardware components as needed. Inspect weatherstripping annually and ensure weep holes remain clear of debris. With basic care, your windows will maintain their appearance and performance for decades.

What certifications do Window Force windows hold?

Window Force windows are CSA certified for quality and safety, and engineered to meet or exceed ENERGY STAR® standards for energy efficiency. As an ENERGY STAR Partner, we're committed to manufacturing products that deliver superior thermal performance and help reduce energy consumption across all Canadian climate zones.

Should I choose the same window type for every opening in my home?

Not necessarily. Different window orientations benefit from different glazing configurations. South and west-facing windows may benefit from Low-E coatings that optimize solar heat gain in winter while blocking excess heat in summer. North-facing windows prioritize insulation over solar gain. Our team can recommend the ideal glass configuration for each opening to maximize energy efficiency throughout your home.

What is the typical lead time from order to delivery?

Production and delivery typically take several weeks, depending on order size, customization requirements, and current production schedules. We manufacture all windows to order at our Toronto facility, ensuring precision and quality. Your specific timeline will be confirmed during the ordering process, and we'll keep you updated throughout production.

Do you provide installation services or supply only?

Window Force is primarily a Toronto manufacturer and supplier, serving builders, dealers, and contractors across Ontario and North America. However, we can also provide professional installation services for projects in our service areas. Whether you need supply-only or full installation support, contact our team to discuss the best approach for your project.

What is the difference between new construction windows and replacement windows?

New construction windows are designed for installation in newly built homes or additions where the wall framing is exposed. They have an option of a nailing fin (flange) that attaches directly to the wall studs before exterior cladding is applied. Replacement windows, on the other hand, are custom-built to fit into existing window openings without disturbing the surrounding interior or exterior trim. They install directly into the current frame opening, making them ideal for upgrading older windows in occupied homes. Window Force manufactures windows suitable for both applications. Our team can help determine which approach is right for your project based on whether you're building new or replacing existing windows.
