Replacement Windows

What Are New Construction Windows?

New construction windows — also called full-frame or nail-fin windows — are engineered to be installed before exterior cladding is applied. Unlike retrofit or replacement windows, which are set into an existing frame, new construction windows attach directly to the wall framing using a nailing fin, making them the standard choice for new home builds, additions, room expansions, and gut renovations where the exterior wall is fully exposed.

If you're breaking ground on a new home, adding a storey, or framing a new room addition, new construction windows give you maximum flexibility in sizing, placement, and performance — without the constraints of an existing opening.

  New Construction Replacement
Installation method Attached to framing via nailing fin Inserted into existing frame (pocket install)
Best for New builds, additions, gut renovations Upgrading windows in a finished home
Wall framing exposed? Yes — required No — not needed
Sizing flexibility Maximum — fully custom Limited by existing rough opening
Exterior cladding Applied after window install Already in place
Energy performance Higher (full seal to framing) Good, dependent on existing frame condition

Available Styles

Casement Casement

Attached on one side and operated with a crank handle, casement windows open outward to deliver maximum top-to-bottom airflow. When closed, the sash presses firmly against the frame to create an exceptionally weather-tight seal, making casement windows among the most energy-efficient operable styles available.

Awning Awning

Top-hinged and opening outward from the bottom, awning windows provide ventilation while helping keep out light rain. Commonly installed in bathrooms, kitchens, and basements, they can also be combined with fixed windows to maximize both natural light and airflow.

Single Slider Single Slider

Featuring one operable sash that slides horizontally past a fixed panel, slider windows are ideal for wider openings. Their space-saving design makes them well suited for areas where outward-opening windows are impractical, such as along walkways, decks, or patios.

Double Slider Double Slider

With both sashes operating independently, double slider windows provide maximum ventilation flexibility across wide openings. Their clean, contemporary design and smooth operation make them a practical choice for efficient use of interior and exterior space.

Picture Fix / Slim Fix Picture Fix / Slim Fix

Fixed, non-operable windows designed to maximize natural light and unobstructed views. With no moving components, they provide the tightest possible seal and the largest glass area for any given opening, making them ideal as focal points or when paired with operable windows on either side.

Double Hung Double Hung

Both upper and lower sashes operate independently, offering flexible ventilation control throughout the day. Many double hung designs include tilt-in sashes for convenient interior cleaning, making them especially practical for upper-floor installations.

Who We Serve

For Home Builders

Whether you're framing a single custom home or a multi-unit residential development, Window Force provides consistent product quality, reliable lead times, and a straightforward supply-only model. Order windows to your schedule, have your crew install — no subcontracting middlemen, no installation coordination delays.

For Contractors & Renovators

Room addition? Second-storey addition? Gut renovation with exposed framing? New construction windows give you full flexibility in rough opening sizing and placement. The optional nailing fin attaches directly to the stud framing before your cladding crew arrives — no brick moulds, no frame-in-frame compromises.

For Custom Home Owners

Building your first or forever home? Window Force works directly with homeowners on custom builds. We help specify the right window style, glazing package, and frame configuration for every room — from large fixed picture windows in the great room to awning or casement units in kitchens and bathrooms.

For Architects & Designers

The Ultraslim Series is available with full technical specifications, NAFS ratings, and architectural drawings for permit submissions. We work with design professionals to ensure specified windows match both performance requirements and aesthetic intent.

Canada-Wide Coverage

Window Force supplies new construction windows to builders, contractors, and homeowners from coast to coast. Unlike regional window dealers limited to a single city or province, we handle nationwide logistics with packaging and shipping methods designed to protect your product in transit regardless of distance. We already serve active dealer networks in British Columbia and Alberta, and we supply Ontario residential projects across the full province.

Ontario New Construction Windows

Ontario

Ontario represents the largest volume of new residential construction in Canada, and Window Force is well-positioned to serve projects across the province — from the Greater Toronto Area, Hamilton, and Ottawa to Kingston, Sudbury, and Northern Ontario. Whether you're building in a dense urban infill context or a suburban master-planned community, we align our production schedule to your framing timeline.

British Columbia New Construction Windows

British Columbia

Window Force already supplies an active dealer network in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. BC's coastal climate demands strong moisture resistance and solid thermal performance — the Ultraslim Series meets Energy Star Canada Zone 2 requirements and is well-suited for the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, Okanagan, and Vancouver Island new-build markets. Ship directly to your job site or staging yard.

Alberta New Construction Windows

Alberta

Window Force supplies an established dealer network in Calgary and Edmonton, serving both the residential high-rise and custom home build sectors. Alberta's extreme temperature swings require windows that perform in Energy Star Zone 3 conditions. Window Force's Ultraslim Series is available with argon-filled triple-pane glazing for builders in Alberta where heating load performance is a primary buyer concern.

Manitoba & Saskatchewan New Construction Windows

Manitoba & Saskatchewan

Prairie new-build projects face some of the most demanding thermal requirements in Canada. Window Force's Ultraslim Series is available with high-performance glazing packages optimized for Zone 3 conditions, delivering the insulation performance your builds need without sacrificing sightlines or frame aesthetics.

Quebec New Construction Windows

Quebec

Window Force ships to Quebec new construction projects with standard and nailing-fin configurations. Bilingual product documentation is available on request for projects requiring French-language permit submissions or client-facing spec sheets.

Atlantic Canada New Construction Windows

Atlantic Canada

New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI, and Newfoundland are seeing a resurgence in residential construction activity. Window Force services Atlantic Canadian projects with the same product line and delivery standards as our central Canada supply chain. Contact us for a project-specific shipping quote.

Energy Performance & Certifications

Energy efficiency is a code requirement in new construction — not a nice-to-have. All Window Force Ultraslim Series windows are certified under Energy Star® Canada, using a four-zone climate map to ensure windows are rated for your project's actual location, not a generalized North American standard.

I am the principal of Window Depot Canada, a windows-and-doors sales and installation company. We have had an account with Window Force since 2018. After new management took over in 2023, Window Force's results have been remarkable. The company dramatically increased production and developed new products that are in high demand in the industry. One of them is a slim-profile casement window that is so popular on the market. The next will be a triple glass slider window. As a result, they moved to a new location with space that greatly exceeded the previous one and became the fastest-growing window company in Ontario. Their leadership, professionalism, and dedication to quality should give you confidence in their work. Product delivery is always on time, customer service is fast and efficient, and communication is very easy. The business owner, Sergey, possesses great knowledge, honesty and professionalism that inspires those around him to strive for excellence.

Window Force has been a true partner to our company, and we fully stand behind them. The quality of their work is outstanding, but what really sets them apart is how quickly they deliver on orders. Having worked with other window manufacturers in the past, I can say the experience isn't even comparable. Window Force operates on a completely different level in terms of reliability and efficiency. Whether it's a small order of three windows or a large project with hundreds, they handle everything with the same level of care and professionalism.

Thank you to Sergey, Anthony, and Jonathan — I know I can always rely on you.

I've worked with manufacturers across the industry for many years. While we produce our own line of windows, there are projects — particularly custom cottage builds — where we partner with Window Force for specialty configurations, oversized openings, and architectural shapes that call for a manufacturer who can execute precisely to spec. What stands out about Window Force is the consistency. Lead times are reliable, the build quality matches what was ordered, and the communication is straightforward — which matters when you're coordinating a custom project with a tight installation window. Their facility has the capacity to handle the work, and Sergey and his team genuinely care about the details, whether it's a one-off shape or a larger custom run. For any builder or contractor looking for a manufacturing partner who can deliver on custom and architectural requirements without the runaround, Window Force is a company I'm happy to put my name behind.

Frequently Asked Questions
About New Construction Windows

What is the difference between a new construction window and a replacement window?

A new construction window is designed to be installed into exposed wall framing using a nailing fin before exterior cladding is applied. A replacement window is sized to fit inside an existing frame when the surrounding wall is structurally sound and cladding is already in place. If your framing is exposed — in a new build, addition, or gut renovation — a new construction window is the correct product.

Do I need to use a nailing fin?

The nailing fin is optional on Window Force's Ultraslim Series, but it is the standard installation method for most new construction applications. The fin attaches to the exterior stud face, creating a secure attachment point and a continuous weather barrier before cladding is applied. If your project has specific masonry or cladding requirements, contact us and we'll advise on the right configuration.

Does Window Force supply windows outside Ontario?

Yes. Window Force delivers new construction windows to builders and contractors across Canada. We already supply active dealer networks in Vancouver (BC) and Calgary and Edmonton (AB), and we ship to Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Quebec, Atlantic Canada, and all other provinces. Contact us with your project postal code for a freight quote.

How long does an order take?

Most standard orders ship within 5–10 business days from order confirmation. Rush orders are accommodated — contact us before placing your order if you have a hard installation deadline and we will confirm whether expedited scheduling is available for your project.

Do you offer installation services?

Window Force is a supply-only company. We do not provide installation services. Your crew installs — or you work with a local installer of your choice. This keeps our pricing competitive and your project timeline in your hands.

Are Window Force windows Energy Star Canada certified?

Yes. The Ultraslim Series is certified under Energy Star® Canada across multiple climate zones. Specify your project's postal code when requesting a quote and we'll confirm the appropriate glazing package for your climate zone and local energy code requirements.

What window styles are available in new construction format?

The Ultraslim Series is available in casement, awning, slider, fixed/picture, and double-hung styles — all in new construction (nailing fin) configuration. Custom sizing is available. Provide your rough opening dimensions when requesting a quote.

Can you provide documentation for permit submissions?

Yes. Window Force provides a technical documentation package including NAFS-11 test results, Energy Star certification letters, and architectural drawings on request. Available for any project requiring permit-level documentation.

What is the visible profile width on the Ultraslim Series?

The Ultraslim Series features a 2-7/8" visible profile — one of the narrowest available in a Canadian-market vinyl window. The full frame depth is 4-9/16". This maximizes glazed area relative to rough opening size, increasing light transmission and maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic in the finished home.

Is triple-pane glazing available for cold-climate provinces?

Yes. The Ultraslim Series is available with argon-filled triple-pane glazing for projects in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northern Ontario, Quebec, and other high-heating-degree-day locations. Triple pane is recommended for projects targeting Energy Star Zone 3 certification or exceeding standard energy code requirements.

Ready to Spec Your Next Build?

Whether you're framing a single custom home in Ontario or supplying a multi-unit development in Calgary, Window Force has the product, the specs, and the supply chain to deliver — on time, anywhere in Canada.
